‘Super’ nature reserve created across 15,000 acres of wetland, heath and coast

A new “super character reserve” is remaining created throughout 15,000 acres of the Somerset landscape to protect saltmarsh, heath and wetland habitats.
Government conservation agency Pure England has announced a new Somerset Wetlands “super” Countrywide Nature Reserve (NNR) in an area property to uncommon and threatened species such as skylark, bittern and avocet.
