Wildlife Rescue Center Hosts 14th Annual Get Wild Benefit

On Saturday, June 25th the Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Heart held their 14th Once-a-year Get Wild profit at a wonderful estate home in Southampton Village. The weather was ideal – sunny and warm – and the quite a few company in attendance loved drinks and handed hors d’oeuvres to a qualifications of classical new music performed by a string trio. Several of the Rescue Center’s animal ambassadors ended up also on hand, like hawks, owls and a groundhog. The occasion honored Suffolk County Legislator Bridget Fleming and Veterinarian Karen Johnson, DVM. An on-line silent auction lifted added funds.

 

Rescue Middle founder and Govt Director Virginia Frati spoke about the Center’s operate. The Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue Middle was founded by Ms. Frati in the late 1990s to offer treatment and rehabilitation for wounded wildlife. It is a nonprofit business, the only facility of its sort on Long Island. The Heart cares for and rehabilitates hurt wildlife till they are able to be produced back again into the wild. Some that simply cannot be absolutely rehabilitated have long lasting residences at the heart, and some serve as ambassadors at academic activities for educational facilities and local community companies.
